Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Taly mobile app and related services ("Taly," the "App," or the "Service"). By using Taly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Taly.
Who May Use Taly
Taly is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults. You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use Taly. Children may use Taly only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Parent and Guardian Responsibility
You are responsible for choosing what information to enter into Taly, reviewing generated content before a child sees it, supervising child use, and deciding whether any content is appropriate for your family.
AI-Generated Stories, Images, and Audio
Taly may generate text, images, profile artwork, and narration audio using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or unsuitable. We do not guarantee that generated content will meet your expectations or be appropriate for every child or situation.
You should not rely on Taly for educational, medical, psychological, legal, safety, or professional advice. Taly is for entertainment and creative storytelling.
Your Content
You retain any rights you have in information and content you provide to Taly. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and provide Taly.
If you publish or share content through Taly, you are responsible for that choice and for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to share it.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Taly for unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing purposes.
- Enter highly sensitive personal information that is not needed for storytelling.
- Attempt to generate sexual, exploitative, hateful, violent, harassing, or otherwise harmful content.
- Reverse engineer, interfere with, scrape, overload, or bypass security or usage limits of Taly.
- Upload or share content that violates someone else's rights or privacy.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Taly may offer free features and paid subscriptions such as Taly Plus. Subscription prices, billing periods, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled through the app store or purchase provider shown at checkout. Your subscription renews unless canceled according to the applicable store rules.
We may change, add, remove, or limit features, usage allowances, or subscription benefits over time, subject to applicable law and store policies.
Intellectual Property
Taly, including its software, design, branding, and service infrastructure, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights in Taly.
Third-Party Services
Taly relies on third-party services, including cloud hosting, AI generation, authentication, analytics, messaging, subscription, and app store services. Your use of those services may be subject to third-party terms and privacy policies.
Service Changes and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Taly or any feature at any time. We do not guarantee that Taly will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available in every location or on every device.
Termination
You may stop using Taly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users or the Service, or if required by law.
Disclaimers
Taly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill arising out of or related to your use of Taly.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Taly, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the place where the operator of Taly is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless consumer protection law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of Taly after an update means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
